In 2012, young immigrants won Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which consequently opened the doors for hundreds of thousands of their peers to build authentic lives, pursue careers, and give back to their communities across the United States.
It was a monumental victory that has truly transformed people’s lives for the better. However, DACA’s protections were never designed to be permanent.
To this day, DACA recipients and their loved ones continue to live in uncertainty, their future at the mercy of ever-changing political tides and court rulings. This can’t continue.
